Our supporting volunteers have a bond or connected through a different way with the Japanese war. Either from personal experience camp sufferrings (first generation), or as a child of the war, past of their parents’ trauma.

Kevin Gutawa is an Intern at DialoogNJI since January 2023. He joined Dialoog NJI because he believes there is an apparent biased interpretation of the National Revolution history taught in schools in Indonesia. He believes that history should be taught the way it happened, not through nationalistic lenses. He is due to have his Public Administration Degree at The Hague University of Applied Sciences in 2023. Kevin assists us in improving our digital communication, with the emphasis on reaching younger target groups in the three countries.
