On the 3rd of December we were informed of the tragic passing of our honorary member, Mrs. Keiko Muraoka (1939-2025). She and her husband, honorary member professor Takamitsu Muraoka, were of utmost importance in the founding of Foundation Dialogue Nederland-Japan-Indonesië. Mrs. Muraoka was a kind, devoted and hospitable woman. She and her husband facilitated a dialogue between victims of Japanese imperialism in Asia during World War II early on. From this endeavour, our foundation came to fruition. As their successors, we strive to continue this mission of facilitating this dialogue and continue in her spirit. She will be missed.
