Theme: “75 years of peace !?”

Dear interested parties,

At the beginning of October we informed you about the continuation of the 22nd Dialogue conference with the public on Saturday 07 November in the Christ Triumfator Church in The Hague.

The alarming increase in Covid-19 infections has forced us to reconsider our earlier decision and bring it into line as much as possible with the tightened government measures. That means that we had to decide to allow this first conference of our three-year project to take place on November 7, but without an audience.

We do understand that this will be a disappointment to many of you. Those who have already registered will receive the amount already transferred back as soon as possible.

In concrete terms, this means that the guest speakers will be present in the church, and that we make everything immediately accessible online. We also try to establish a connection with Indonesia (literally as well as figuratively).

We have made every effort to address the important theme “75 years of peace !?” as well as to be able to share the contributions of our guest speakers with you as optimally as possible and to enable you to participate in this remotely. Therefore we have adapted the original 1-day program and divided it into two days.

You can see the modified program here.

You can watch the lectures on Saturday, November 7th, online via a live streaming. We also offer the possibility to ask questions after the lectures and during the table discussion via a channel that will be shared with you in good time.

On te following day – Sunday November 8th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. – we offer the option of online participation in a dialogue group discussion. Since this is the first time for us to hold a dialogue via a digital platform, we want to limit participation and are only able to accommodate (a maximum of) three dialogue groups.

You can still register for this via this registration form.
We request that you register 30 October 2020 at the latest.

Questions can be sent to: events@dialoognji.org

We appeal to you to share this information in your personal networks and hope that, through you, we may also welcome the younger generation from your own area to this conference. So that they can learn about our shared past.

Finally: you are very welcome as a donor of our foundation. You can transfer your contribution to NL73 SNSB 0927 6534 94 account in the name of Stichting Dialoog NJI stating “donation”.

We thank you for your understanding and hope to “see” you on November 7th..

Sincerely,

Yukari Tangena-Suzuki
Chairman Stichting Dialoog NJI
